Standard Online Backup Plans

When you join a NetRescue Basic Online Backup Plan, or register for a free trial plan, you will receive a set amount of storage space on one of our servers. You then use our software, the Online Backup Manager, to select the files you wish to backup. When you are ready to run a backup, or at a predescribed time, the OBM software will start and scan your chosen directories for any additions, deletions or changes that have been made since your last backup.

Any new data, or changes to exsisting files are first encrypted, then compressed to make sure your files are transferred quickly, and cannot be accessed by anyone else. When this is all done, your computer will transfer all your new files and changes to our NetRescue server for safe storage, until you need them again. Any changes or deletions made during a backup are added to the retention bin for a default period of 7 days. This means you can go back in time and correct any mistakes or accidental deletions made during this period.

You will automatically receive an email for each backup run, or if you have missed a scheduled backup. This email details the success or fail of each backup, the files backed up, and other details such as remaining quota.

All data stored on the NetRescue servers is also replicated (or copied) continously to our backup server in our backup site, just in case anything happens to our primary servers.

When you need your data back, you simply open the OBM software, connect to the NetRescue server, pick the files you need and restore them. If you have a large number of files to restore, you can request for your files to be sent to you on DVD, to save you the time of downloading them.

Trial / Free Accounts

When you sign up for a free Trial account, you will receive a Basic 1 Gig Plan free for one month. This includes free email and phone support for the duration of the trial. When your Trial is over, your account will revert to a free 50meg plan, unless you advise otherwise.


Basic 1 Gig Plan

Plan includes 1 Gig of compressed data storage on the NetRescue Server, free email support and free phone support for the first 10 days. An entry level plan good for the home user for storing emails, work and school documents and digital photos. Perform as many backups and retores as you need during the month.


Basic 10 Gig Plan

This plan builds on the 1 Gig Plan by including 10 Gigs of compressed data storage on the NetRescue Server. Great for small businesses or more data intensive storage such as MP3?s or videos.


Basic 50 Gig Plan Add extra storage up to 50 Gigs of compressed data per month. For the medium sized business or heavy home user. Unlimited backups and restores per month.
